Michael Miller, M.D.
Michael Miller brings many years of governmental and industry experience to help clients with their complex policy, advocacy, reimbursement strategy, and stakeholder communications challenges. Using his medical, scientific, business and communications expertise, Dr. Miller works with companies and organizations to increase the market value and development of their medical innovations.
Dr. Miller’s experience includes Director, Government Relations in Pfizer’s Washington DC office, Legislative Assistant and Health Policy Advisor for Congressman Sander Levin (D-MI), Director of Facilitation & Education at Medical Alliances, Medical Officer in the National Institute of Health’s Office of AIDS Research, and Physician Advisor in the White House’s Office of Management and Budget as the first Executive Branch Fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
Dr. Miller has extensive first hand experiences communicating vital information on a wide variety of healthcare issues to audiences across the country. Specific topics he has addressed include the clinical and economic value of medical advancements, the interactions among the healthcare delivery, reimbursement and research systems, and strategies for improving the quality of healthcare and public health. For example, in June 2003, he addressed the Presidents of the State Medical Associations on “The Future of the US Healthcare System,” and in 2004 he wrote the “Drug Pricing Principles” chapter for The Entrepreneur’s Guide to a Biotech Startup.
Dr. Miller holds a B.A. in chemistry from Williams College, and an M.D. from the Yale University School of Medicine.
