WASHINGTON, D.C. (1/28/2008) - Hyde Park Communications, a strategic public affairs firm, announced today the hiring of Kevin Nix and Alex Rosenthal. Nix will serve as an Account Supervisor in the Washington DC office, while Rosenthal joins the New York office as an Account Coordinator.
Nix will supervise accounts in the firm's health care communications business as well as manage public affairs issues. Rosenthal will support health care and financial communications.
"Kevin brings strategic and tactical communications experience to the firm," said Jeffrey M. Sandman, CEO of Hyde Park Communications. "His background in public affairs and hands-on experience in politics and government will bring considerable value to our firm's clients," Sandman said.

Kevin Nix joins Hyde Park after serving as director of research for Turner Strategies Public Relations, where he provided message development and media strategy to public affairs clients. Nix's experience also includes providing communications counsel on ballot initiatives, as a research analyst for the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, and as an account executive at Burson-Marsteller.
A native Texan, Nix received his M.A. in American Government from Johns Hopkins and his B.A. from Tulane University.
Rosenthal holds a B.A. from Binghamton University, the State University of New York where he served as publisher of the Free Press student newspaper.
