WASHINGTON (5/24/06) - Hyde Park Communications, a strategic public affairs firm, announced today that Erin Utzinger has joined the firm as an account executive in the Washington office. Utzinger will be providing health policy and public relations support.

Ms. Utzinger joins Hyde Park Communications after serving as a project manager at Home Front Communications. While there, she oversaw media relations projects for health advocacy organizations, pharmaceutical and consumer product companies in the areas of disease prevention and awareness, emergency preparedness, policy advocacy, and consumer safety and healthy lifestyle issues.
Prior to joining Home Front, Ms. Utzinger served as deputy press secretary to U.S. Senator Mark Dayton (D-MN), where she was responsible for communications efforts related to public policy, constituent outreach and media relations, and website development.
A native of East Grand Forks, Minn., Ms. Utzinger is a graduate of the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN, with a B.A. in political science.
